"Listening to my doctor and deciding to get a doula was by far the best decision I have made during pregnancy. She listens to me when I need to be heard, helps calm me when hormones, fear and anticipation are raging, and is providing me with knowledge and confidence to have a successful VBAC! If you are currently pregnant and live in the Asheville area, I would highly recommend Elizabeth's support for you and your baby!"

A Bit About Me
My calling to becoming a birth professional.

My goal as a support person is for mother's to feel safe, fulfilled, and knowledgeable. I believe in every woman's right to her birth experience. I believe in the capability of the body; and I aim to help release the fear that binds women to that experience and the notion of pregnancy as pathological. As a VBA2C (vaginal birth after two cesarean) mother myself, I have a passion for VBAC support and awareness, and have taken continuing education for VBAC success. Previously an LMT (licensed massage therapist) I wanted to help others and help relieve pain. I believe massage helped to guide me toward becoming a birth professional and the continual use of my hands as healing tools. As an "infertility warrior" I understand that sometimes the road to parenthood is not quite as care-free as we envision, but it makes it that much sweeter. My vision is that to help ease anxieties surrounding birth and reshape the view to that of strength, pride, and excitement.
I live with my husband, two sons, and daughter in Asheville, N.C. and Sarasota, Fl. I enjoy being outside with my family, crafting, and have a side business that I make organic bath and body products from.
I am certified birth doula through CBI (Childbirth International) and received my placenta encapsulation training through IPPA. I am OSHA certified and adhere to the beliefs and code of ethics set in place by Childbirth International.
